Introduction

We are excited to be recruiting a new Associate to join our growing team at Prova Health.

Prova Health is a global research and consultancy firm focused on accelerating the adoption of health innovation. We work across digital health and AI, pharma and diagnostics, helping innovators prove their value, navigate regulatory and reimbursement pathways, and get adopted by the health systems and markets that matter most.

Since 2020, we've grown into a team of experts spanning the UK and US, working with clients in all major markets. Our proprietary network of 600+ healthcare insiders across 40+ countries keeps our work grounded in how care is actually delivered.

In this role, you'll support work across our three client segments:

  • Digital health and AI: working with innovators to generate the clinical and economic evidence, and build the regulatory and commercialisation strategies, that get their solutions adopted faster.

  • Pharma: working with pharma companies to help their therapies reach more patients, identifying the barriers to adoption and designing the strategies to overcome them.

  • Diagnostics: working with diagnostics innovators to identify and address the barriers to adoption of their solutions, so they reach the patients who need them.

The way we work matters just as much to us. We want Prova Health to be a great place to work, which means building a caring, inclusive culture, lasting relationships with our clients, and a team that shares our aspirations and values.

The role

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to take on real responsibility quickly. You'll work as part of our consulting team, sitting alongside consultants and founders on live client projects rather than in isolation, learning how we use evidence and commercial strategy to drive the adoption of new innovations in healthcare. You'll be supported by people with deep expertise across medicine, research, health policy and consulting, and because most of your time will be spent on client work, you'll get direct exposure to clients and real decision-making from early on.

You should expect to work across projects spanning digital health and AI, pharma and diagnostics, so we're looking for someone excited by that breadth rather than set on a single specialism from day one. Working closely with the team, you'll take ownership of your own parts of client projects and grow into more responsibility over time, building the judgment and client skills that make a good consultant. Those skills come from many backgrounds, what matters is the ability to think clearly, work well with people, and turn analysis into something a client can act on.

What you'll do

Your precise responsibilities will vary depending on the projects that are ongoing, but may include:

Client delivery and engagement

  • Interacting regularly with Prova Health clients, understanding their needs and developing approaches to address them.

  • Preparing high-quality reports, presentations and proposals for clients.

  • Synthesising clinical, product and commercial material into briefing documents that equip client teams for credible customer conversations.

  • Working to deadlines and client review cycles, keeping large sets of interdependent documents accurate and consistent.

Evidence and analysis

  • Conducting literature and evidence reviews, including structured and systematic searches, and critically appraising what you find.

  • Synthesising clinical and economic evidence into clear summaries for our team and our clients.

  • Supporting the design and delivery of evidence generation projects.

  • Contributing to health economic analyses, including cost calculators, budget impact models and cost-effectiveness analyses.

  • Using AI tools across research, analysis and delivery. It's part of how we work, and you'll be building with it every day.

Market and adoption strategy

  • Researching and mapping regulatory and commercialisation pathways across UK, EU and US markets.

  • Speaking with client teams to understand the practical barriers to adoption and challenges they face.

  • Discerning how innovations are adopted in clinical practice, including value propositions and key stakeholders, and using this to build capability-building materials that mirror the real interactions and challenges client teams face.

Helping us grow

  • Being exposed to business development, including supporting research into grant and tender opportunities and contributing to applications.

  • Pitching in on how we work, improving our internal processes, templates and tools as we grow.

The exact mix will flex with what our clients need and where your strengths lie.

What we're looking for

The essentials:

  • Education & experience: A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent), or a postgraduate qualification (Master's or PhD) in a scientific, health or related discipline. We welcome recent medical graduates, and value the hands-on research and clinical experience gained during medical training. For non-medical backgrounds, a postgraduate qualification is required.

  • Research: Demonstrable research skills, ideally including literature review, study design, analysis and scientific writing, evidenced through a thesis, peer-reviewed publications or equivalent project work.

  • Working with data: A strong grasp of quantitative and qualitative methods, comfortable working independently with data to draw and defend conclusions.

  • Delivery: Able to manage your own workload across several projects and deliver to deadlines. You'll be well supported, but should be comfortable taking ownership of your work.

  • Interest: A genuine interest in healthcare innovation across digital health, AI, pharma and diagnostics.

  • Communication: Strong communication skills both towards external clients and internally amongst team members.

Nice to have:

  • Prior consulting, industry or healthcare project experience.

  • Experience in health economics, market access, regulatory affairs or HTA.

  • Familiarity with quantitative analysis tools or coding for data work.

You do not need years of experience. If you are early in your career, sharp, curious and keen to grow with us, we want to hear from you.

Benefits

We offer a generous package of benefits at Prova Health:

  • 25 days' annual leave, plus 3 company closure days between Christmas and New Year.

  • August as a remote-working month.

  • Private medical insurance, with the option to add family at a discounted rate.

  • Quarterly team offsites, so the whole team comes together regularly to plan, learn and spend time in person.

  • Group income protection, covering 75% of salary during long-term illness or injury

  • Workplace nursery salary sacrifice scheme, for tax-efficient help with nursery fees.

  • Pension scheme with 4% employer contribution.
